Rent one of our boats and chart your own course! The Excel Boat Club and Rental is delighted to offer many wonderful opportunities to enjoy Lake Minnetonka.

Our rental pontoon boats afford marvelous fishing, swimming, and picnic access. On Lake Minnetonka, you can enjoy close-up looks at the spectacular lakeside mansions not available to the big boats or drop anchor in a lovely, serene bay for a swim and a picnic.

Quality Boats and Exception Customer Service
You can rent a boat from anyone. At Excel Boat Club, renting quality boats and providing exceptional customer service is our business. We don’t just hand you the keys and send you off. Instead, our dock staff greets you, carts your gear from the vehicle, and loads all your gear on the boat. Excel Boat Club wants you to have a FUN and memorable experience on Lake Minnetonka. We will provide you with a large navigation map and provide a thorough “check-out” to make sure that you are comfortable with the boat and navigation.

Safety First
We do require the driver to be responsible and have some boating knowledge! Lake Minnetonka and our boats are large. Your safety, as well as the safety of other boaters is very important to us. We’re happy to provide Captains if you’d prefer to leave the driving to a professional.

Great for Parties and Corporate Rentals
Our new luxury pontoons carry up to 18 comfortably, with enclosed potti-changing room, and modular wrap-around seating. They are quiet and easy to drive for even a landlubber, or we can provide a captain if you wish. Our boats are great for entertaining clients; holding team-building events; or hosting recognition celebrations for a job well done.

Individual and corporate guided-fishing excursions: We offer some of the best guides on the lake! Our multi-species anglers will take you fishing for Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye and Panfish. Whatever you want to catch, they will take you to the perfect spot.

Rental Hours
Season: runs from May 9-Oct. 11

Half Day: 9 am to 2 pm OR 3 pm to 8 pm

Full Day: 10 am to 7 pm

After Labor Day through October 11
You may pick your time. Boats must be in by 7 pm

Reservation Policy
We accept American Express, Visa & MasterCard. A $50 deposit is required and the balance due upon your arrival. A damage deposit of $500 is authorized but not charged to your credit card unless there is damage. Please note that our boats reserve well in advance, especially for weekends and holidays.

Cancellation Policy
If your scheduled day is rained out, we will refund your $50 deposit. If you need to cancel for other reasons, you must call 72 hours in advance to receive your $50 refund. If you cancel on the day of your reservation, you will be charged the full rental amount.   

No Kegs. Lewd, Drunk or Disorderly conduct is not allowed or tolerated.

Please be aware that most of our Saturday afternoon (3-8) time slots are booked in July & August.  For the 3-8 time as of April 26th we have one 30' boat on July 7th, one 25' on July 14th, one 25' on July 21st, one 30' and one 25' on August 11th, and one 25' on August 25th.
